This is a great canyon to do if all you want is easy day out in a beautiful part of the world or you’ve been climbing at the Awesome Sahara Point and want to chill at the end of your day of climbing. Of course it takes just as long to drive there as it does to do the canyon, so maybe do Pleasant View or Zorro as well. Or just go climbing at what IMHO is probably the best cliffline in the Wolgan - Sahara Point.
The canyon is pretty short - a bit over 3 clicks so it only takes a couple of hours to do but we overshot the start by about hundred metres so walked back along the canyon rim to the start which gave a great view into the canyon.
Looking back the other way you can just see an acoustic chamber in the background.
Amelia and Anton avoiding wet feet in the canyon whilst Jane hides behind a Fern.
Anton and Amelia in the first Acoustic Chamber.
More silly children.
A rare photo of Jane.
In the second big Acoustic Chamber.
And here we are nearing the end of the canyon.
More HDR photo pfaffery. Look at those walls. Great potential for new routes!
After that we headed to The Lost City
